Britney Spears, who lip-synced the song of Gimme More, gave a very bad performance, she hardly danced and then at one point stopped moving her lips altogether.


This is the fourth time Britney Spears has performed at the Video Music Awards. This last performance was nothing compared to the other three.
In 2000 she stripped down to a flesh-colored body suit, in 2001 she danced with a python and in 2003 she sang with Madonna, who she also kissed, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliott.

The latest issue of In Touch Weekly has an article which examines whether Madonna may have had breast implants. Do you think she has had them done? It deffenitly looks like she has had plastic surgery but surley it can't be true. The first picture is at the Grammys in Febuary 2006 were it seems like she had a B-cup bust and then second one is outside her gym in London on July 21st. So has she had a boob job or not?

Madonna is sporting a bruise on her cheek after getting jostled by the paparazzi at Heathrow airport over the weekend – while she was holding her adoptive son, David, a source close to the singer told PEOPLE.


The source said:

She had the baby in her arms when it happened,

When she landed in London, there was a lot of pushing and shoving. She was jostled around. She got hit in the paparazzi's commotion.

David, the 1-year-old she is in the process of adopting from Malawi, was not hurt in the scuffle.


The source added:

Thank God the baby is OK,

Over the weekend Madonna returned to London from New York, where she'd spent the week promoting her newest children's book, Too Good to Be True, and her upcoming NBC TV special Madonna: The Confessions Tour Live from London.

Madonna has adopted a one-year-old Malawi baby boy.


Yohane Banda, the father of the toddler named David - whose mother died of complications during birth - revealed last night that Madonna had picked his son during a visit to an orphanage in the underprivileged African country.


Yohane Banda - who lives in a one-room mud hut - told Britain's The Sun newspaper:

I'm very happy. As you can see there is poverty in my village.

The 32-year-old farmer has not personally met Madonna, but he was told that his son was being adopted by a "famous US musician".


He added:

I know he will be very happy in America. We are told Davie will be coming back regularly to get to know his roots.

Madonna is in the southern African country of Malawi, where she is launching a series of humanitarian projects to benefit orphans – but despite a statement by a government official, she has not adopted a baby there, her rep says.


Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, told PEOPLE:

I can confirm Madonna is in Malawi on a private visit, She is building an orphanage and child care center and is involved in other initiatives geared toward helping children orphaned by AIDS through the Raising Malawi organization. She has not adopted a baby, despite reports that she has.

Malawi government spokesperson Adrina Michiela told reporters on Wednesday that Madonna had chosen a 1-year-old orphan boy to adopt.
