Nicole Richie served only 82 minutes in jail.


Accompanied by her lawyer and boyfriend Joel Madden, five-months pregnant Nicole Richie entered the jail in Lynwood, California, at 3:15 p.m. She was processed into the system and released at 4:37 p.m.


A statement said:

Miss Richie was cooperative during the process,




Nicole Richie was set to serve a four day sentence but released early because of overcrowding.


Richie, 25, was arrested for DUI in December 2006, and pled guilty to the charges on July 27, 2007.
