Their first public outing as a couple, in spring 2005, was in Italy, where Tom Cruise was in Rome for the April 29 David di Donatello awards. Nearly a year later, the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes welcomed their first child together, daughter Suri Cruise, on April 18.
