Denise Richards has denied rumors she is engaged to her rock star boyfriend Richie Sambora.

Denise Richards has been dating the Bon Jovi guitarist for months and it was claimed that Richie Sambora - who is currently divorcing Denise Richards's former friend actress Heather Locklear - had popped the question.

Denise's attorney, Neal Hersh, has now denied the reports insisting they are completely untrue.

Neal Hersh told gossip website TMZ.com:

There is no truth to any of the rumors that Denise and Richie are engaged. They are not.

The couple made their first public appearance together at last Thursday's Fashion Rocks concert, in New York.

Denise Richards was spotted wearing a £55,000 diamond ring which Richie Sambora, 47, had given her a week before.

Denise recently agreed divorce terms with estranged husband Charlie Sheen.
