Kelly Rowland has slammed reports she is putting her career on hold following her 'shock pregnancy'.


Kelly Rowland, was at the centre of internet reports last week claiming she was pregnant and was delaying the launch of her second solo album.


Reports quoted an interview with Keith Slogan of AMGMusic.com, which quoted Kelly Rowland as saying:

My pregnancy was definitely a surprise! Its kind of a bitter-sweet feeling because I was planning to release an album next year.

However, Kelly Rowland insists she is not set to become a mother and is looking forward to the next stage in her career.


A statement from Kelly Rowlands' record label Sony BMG reads:

Contrary to rumors appearing online and in the tabloids, Kelly Rowland, of Destiny's Child, is not pregnant.

Statements attributed to Kelly regarding her alleged pregnancy were never made by the artist and a purported interview with the Amg never took place.

Kelly Rowland is currently single since splitting from ex-fiance, American football player Roy Williams, last year.
