Jessica Simpson is sad that a friend of hers has been photographed kissing her ex-husband Nick Lachey.


Jessica met TV presenter Vanessa Minnillo at an MTV event in 2003 and the pair quickly became friends and often went clubbing together.


Nick then went on to ask Vanessa to star in the music video for his song 'What’s left of me' about the end of his marriage to Jessica.


A source has revealed:

Jess was bothered by that, but she was willing to let it slide because she knows how badly Vanessa has wanted to get into acting.




But new photos of the two kissing in Mexico have left Jessica crushed:

It’s painful and hurtful, but it just reinforces her decision to leave Nick
