Teri Hatcher was working on the Desperate Housewives set when a light bulb exploded and flying glass went in to her eye.
She told People magazine:
Glass lodged in my right eye and proceeded to scratch my cornea.I was taken to a wonderfull eye doctor, and now am wearing a most glamourous eye patch over the right half of my face. The good news is the cornea is the fastest healing tissue in the body.
Teri went on to say:
I´m in some pain, but trying to see the humour in the oddity of it all. No one was at fault.
